PROCESS: Lecture + Type Workshop with Scott Fuller

Scott Fuller is a designer, illustrator, treasure hunter and founder of The Studio Temporary. A native of Newnan, GA, Scott spends his days (and nights) following a simple motto: “Good Design Wherever I Happen To Be.” His classic, utilitarian style is a product of his time spent as a CNC machinist in his dad’s shop. He also resembles a tall leprechaun.

Come hear Scott speak about his career, experience and take home some pointers as he gives an inside look into the process behind his new typeface, SOLID 70. A full table of Studio Temporary products will also be available after the show.

See y’all there!

As an AIGA member, Scott served as Social Media director for the AIGA Atlanta chapter for 2.5 years. Scott remains a strong supporter of AIGA and its efforts to advance design. Scott’s community involvement includes working for various non-profits, meeting fellow creatives over coffee, attending AIGA events, and enjoying a good chat with students.

Throughout his career, Scott has worked in almost every position a designer could work. He’s been in-house, worked freelance and now works at one of the hardest jobs there is, running his own studio. Scott understands the challenges of being a designer in each setting and is willing to share his experiences, as well as his process. His talk will go over everything from his start in design, lessons learned throughout his career, and he’ll take us all through his process.

His latest project, a new typeface, named SOLID70, will serve as the subject for our event as Scott walks us through the process of his new creation. From idea to sketch, from the pen tool to the final printed piece, attendees will have a great time getting to know a designer and learning a new process.
