CSS for Print Designers
AIGA Chattanooga is hosting an event, "CSS for Print Designers," on Nov. 2 at The Public Library - Downtown. There are big changes in store for our Public Library and AIGA Chattanooga is proud to be a part of it. The Public Library - Downtown has turned their fourth floor into a content creation space, and we are excited to be the first to utilize it. We're bringing in JD Graffam from AIGA Memphis/Simplefocus to give a "hands-on" workshop on CSS for Print Designers.

Who Should Attend?

CSS is uncharted territory for many traditional print designers, which is why we've created a workshop to explore the new frontier! Designers of all experience levels who primarily work in print design should attend. Whether you are an in-house designer, part of an agency or freelance designer, you can learn something new about CSS. Don't know anything? No problem. We'll begin at the beginning.

NOTE: This is a hands on workshop which requires you to bring your laptop. Also, be sure to check out the “what do I need to do before” section at the bottom of this page—there are a few other things you will need to do to prepare for the workshop. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.

What do I need to do before?

  • Get a text editor like TextWrangler (Mac) or PSPad (Win).
  • Install Firefox and the Firebug plugin.
  • Install an FTP program like Filezilla and know how to use it.
